牛津實用英語語法:323驚嘆句及yes和no變為間接引語
A 驚嘆句在間接引語中通常變為陳述句，這時應取消驚嘆號。
1 由What(a)或 How開頭的驚嘆句，通常由
(a)exclaim/say that來轉述：
He said，What a dreadful idea!/How dreadful!
他說：多可怕的想法!/多可怕!相當于：
He exclaimed that it was a dreadful idea/was dreadful.
他大聲說/驚叫道這想法太可怕了。
(b)用 give an exclamation of delight/disgust/horror/relief/sur- prise(歡悅/厭惡/恐懼/寬慰/驚訝地呼喊了一聲)等詞語轉述。
另外，如在驚嘆語句后面跟一個動作，可用
(c)with an exclamation of delight/disgust等+he/she等+ 動詞結構。
2 其他類型的驚嘆語，如：Good!(好的!)Marvellous!(太棒了!)Splendid!(好極了!)Heavens!(天哪!)Oh!(哦!)Ugh!(啊!呸!)等，可用上面(b)或(c)來轉述：
Good! he exclaimed.
他大聲叫道：太好了!相當于：
He gave an exclamation of pleasure/satisfaction.
他愉快/滿意地叫了一聲。
Ugh!she exclaimed，and turned the programme off.
她叫道：呸!然后把電視機關了。相當于：
With an exclamation of disgust she turned the programme off.
她厭惡地啐了一聲，并把電視機關了。
3注意下面的用法：
He said，Thank you!
他說：感謝您!相當于：
He thanked me.
他向我表示感謝。
He said，Curse this fog!
他說：這該死的霧!相當于：
He cursed the fog.
他咒罵那該死的霧。
He said， Good luck!
他說：祝你好運!相當于：
He wished me luck.
他祝我運氣好。
He said，Happy Christmas!
他說：圣誕快樂!相當于：
He wished me a happy Christmas.
他祝我圣誕快樂。
He said，Congratulations!
他說：祝賀你!相當于：
He congratulated me.
他向我表示祝賀。

He said，Can you swim?and I saidNo.

He asked(me)if I could swim and I said I couldnt.
他問(我)是否會游泳，我說不會。
He said，Will you have time to do it?and I said，Yes.
他說：你有時間做這事嗎?我說：有。相當于：
He asked if I would have time to do it and I said that I would.
他問我是否有時間做這事，我說有時間。
