　　 up to 用法小結

　　　　 up to 的用法較多，同學們在使用這一短語時容易出錯。現將 up to 的用法歸納如下，供同學們參考。

　　　　1. up to 意為多達。例如：

　　　　I can take up to four people in my car. （我的車能載 4 個人。）

　　　　2. up to 意為不多于，不遲于。例如：

　　　　Read up to page 109. （讀到第 100 頁。）

　　　　3. up to 意為可與某事物相比，比得上。例如：

　　　　As a doctor， he is not up to Mr Smith.

　　　　（作為一名醫生，他不能與史密斯先生相比。）

　　　　4. up to 意為有某種能力的，能勝任的。例如：

　　　　He's not up to the part of Othello.

　　　　（他演不了奧賽羅這個角色。）
