final的用法
1. 用作形容詞，有兩個(gè)主要意思：
用作本義，指最后的、最末的，主要用于名詞前作定語(yǔ)。如：
Z is the final letter in the alphabet. Z是字母表中最后一個(gè)字母。
The final thing he did before he left the house wasto lock the door. 他離開(kāi)房子所做的最后一件事是鎖門(mén)。
用作引申義，指確定的、不能變的，可用表語(yǔ)或定語(yǔ)。如：
Iwont go, and thats final. 我不去，就這么定了。
Is that yourfinal offer? 這是你最后出的價(jià)嗎?
2. 用作名詞，表示決賽或期末考試，通常用復(fù)數(shù)形式。如：
Atthe finals, they lost to Japan. 決賽時(shí)他們輸給了日本隊(duì)。
Whendo you take your finals ? 你們的期末考試什么時(shí)候進(jìn)行?
3. 關(guān)于 final 與 last：
兩者都可指順序上的最后，有時(shí)可換用。如：
The final [last]word in this dictionary is Zoom. 這本詞典的最后一個(gè)單詞是Zoom。
last 主要指一個(gè)系列 的最后，含有再往后就沒(méi)有了的意思。如：
He is sitting in the last row. 他坐在最后一排。
He was the last to arrive. 他是最后一個(gè)來(lái)的。
有時(shí)指剩下的。如：
He had spent his last shilling. 他把最后的一點(diǎn)錢(qián)也花光了。
final 不僅指順序上的最后，而且含有以此作為結(jié)束或到達(dá)終點(diǎn)之意。如：
